Today all cousins came over for dinner at my place. After eating our dinner we all wanted to eat icecream so we decided to go for a drive and have ice cream.But we all weren’t able to decide where to go for ice cream,not because we have lot of ice cream parlours in chennai but cos we have only a few good places.
Neverthless, about 8 of us went for a drive in scorpio and we were trying to think which place we could go. Places in the north have loads of cool ice cream parlours and lot of variety also but in chennai we have mostly all local shops which are not open after about 11 in the night.Then the topic of ‘no night life in chennai’ came up. I really feel that chennai sleeps too early compared to other metro cities.
Finally, coming to the ice cream, we ended up eating at MILKY WAY near ethiraj college. This place had amazing ice creams when i was in school. Half the ethiraj crowd would bunk college and come there but today the ice creams were very bad there. Whichever ice cream you order, it had vanilla base with a little flavoured sauce on top of it!!! The cashier was not even interested to listen to our order properly and the people making the ice creams were half sleepy. It’s a bad idea to roam in the night in chennai cos there is no proper place to hang out and have fun. Of course, the discos and the pubs are an exception but not everyone can afford to go there everyday.worth mentioning, only dublin is a good disco in chennai and all the others are not worth going.
